The Botanical Garden of Jagiellonian University, located about 3 km from Szujskiego Street, is the oldest botanical garden in Poland, founded in 1783. The garden covers an area of 9.6 hectares and it is home to more than 5,000 plants species from all over the world. Walking through the alleys of the garden, one can admire the diverse collection of plants, including exotic palms, cacti, aquatic plants and rare species of trees and shrubs.
